Privacy Policy

Miranda’s Kitchen is a one-person operation selling a cookbook. We collect as little as we can get away with, we don’t sell anything about you, and you can have your information deleted by sending one email.
What we collect
Three things, and only when you do something that requires them.
- Your email address — if you join the waitlist for the printed book, or if you buy a copy. That’s how we send you the PDF and tell you when the printed book is ready.
- Your order and payment details — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number never touches this website and we never see it. We see your name, email, and what you bought.
- Anonymous usage data — which pages get visited, roughly where in the world visitors are, and what kind of device they used. This tells us whether the site is working. It is not tied to your name.
Cookies
This site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies in your browser to tell repeat visits apart from new ones. That’s the only cookie we set. If you’d rather not be counted, you can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google’s opt-out add-on — the site works exactly the same either way.
Who else gets your information
We don’t sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, ever. A handful of services necessarily see parts of it in order to do their job:
- Stripe processes payments and sends your receipt.
- Google provides Analytics, the fonts this site uses, and the form behind the printed-book waitlist.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and keeps standard server logs.
Each of these has its own privacy policy governing what it does with that data.
The QR codes in the cookbook
Each recipe has a QR code that opens a pre-filled shopping cart at Walmart. Scanning one takes you to Walmart’s website, where Walmart’s own privacy policy applies. We don’t receive anything back about what you scanned or bought.
How long we keep things
Order records are kept as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes. Waitlist emails are kept until the printed book ships or you ask to come off the list. Analytics data expires automatically after fourteen months.
Your choices
Write to [email protected] and we will, at your request, tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. No forms and no conditions — just ask. Depending on where you live you may have these rights by law; we extend them to everyone regardless.
Children
This site is meant for adults and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Substantial changes affecting anyone already on our list will be sent by email.
